"The Natural" and "The Truth" Talk UFC 65
With Hughes-St. Pierre II taking place over the weekend, TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross are
back with the latest news and interviews from Sacramento.
Joining them on Monday's "Beatdown" are UFC color commentator Randy Couture (Pictures) and UFC heavyweight contender Brandon Vera (Pictures).
Saturday night in California's capital Brandon Vera (Pictures) dismantled former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir (Pictures). The fight took
a little over a minute inside the ARCO Arena before the referee stopped the bout due to Vera's strikes.
With the win, "The Truth" moved his record to 8-0 (4-0 in the UFC). The San Diegan talks about his stoppage of Mir, the
UFC heavyweight division, and how he has changed and grown as a fighter since coming to the UFC last year.
Couture had a very busy weekend. On Friday night "The Natural" found himself in the middle of competition once again. This
time Randy wouldn't be in the confines of the Octagon, rather he was on the mat, grappling in a "superfight" against Brazilian
jiu-jitsu star "Jacare in the Professional Submission League. The following night the former UFC heavyweight and light-heavyweight
champion was cage side providing color commentary for the UFC 65 pay-per-view telecast.
Couture joins TJ and Josh to discuss what he thought of a card that featured Georges St. Pierre (Pictures) defeating Matt Hughes (Pictures) to take the
welterweight title and Tim Sylvia (Pictures) retaining the heavyweight strap against Jeff Monson (Pictures).
