Beatdown: "Rampage" and "The Law" Talk WFA
Friday's edition of "Beatdown" features the reformed World Fighting Alliance's main event fighters:
Quinton Jackson (Pictures) and Matt "The Law" Lindland, who are set to fight July 22 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
Quinton, who makes his long awaited return to the U.S. on live Pay-Per-View, speaks with "Beatdown"
host TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com's very on Jeff Sherwood (who is filling in for Josh Gross who is on assignment).
Quinton talks about leaving PRIDE, coming to the States, and how he plans on "breaking the law."
Also Quinton speaks a little bit about some other oppurtunities may await him, including a possible team
with the IFL.
"The Law" Matt Lindland (Pictures) has had a pretty active schedule since leaving the UFC after his decision win over
Joe Doerkson. As you may recall, Lindland was released after wearing a t-shirt from a sponsor that Zuffa
had deemed inapropriate. Lindland, hailing from Oregon, is the promoter of the upstart mixed martial arts
organization known as SportFight. He also trains fighters at Team Quest, and is an active fighter as well.
Since leaving the UFC Lindland has taken out PRIDE veteran Nino Schembri and UFC veteran Mike Van Arsdale (Pictures).
"The Law" talks about moving up to 205, his fight with Quinton Jackson (Pictures), and his deal with the WFA.
TJ and Jeff also answer listener e-mails.
Step up and get "Beatdown" on the Sherdog Radio Network.
