Arlovski Talks Sylvia; PRIDE Grand Prix Breakdown
Friday's "Beatdown" focuses on mixed martial arts' back-to-back mega cards. Host TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross
discuss July 1's PRIDE Open-Weight Grand Prix. They also speak with former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski (Pictures), who hopes to
displace Tim Sylvia (Pictures) and regain the belt. Last but not least, Joe Stevenson (Pictures) joins us to talk about his pending bout with Yves Edwards (Pictures).
The Belarussian Arlovski lost his last fight, as well as title, to Sylvia. He talks about the loss, how it affected him and how he
plans on regaining the UFC heavyweight crown.
The Ultimate Fighter season two welterweight champion "Daddy" Stevenson is in a similar situation to Arlovski. Stevenson took a
loss to Miletich fighter Josh Neer (Pictures) back at Ultimate Fight Night 4. He discusses the loss to Neer, moving down to the 155-pound
division and his training camp in Big Bear.
TJ and Josh dip into the mailbag as listeners respond to Sherdog's removal from Tuesday's UFN weigh-in, fight scoring, and
recent articles by Sherdog.com columnist regarding the UFC.
