The heavyweight contender grounded Alexander Volkov repeatedly en route to a unanimous decision triumph in the UFC on ESPN 11 headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night. While Blaydes fatigued down the stretch, he nonetheless earned another convincing triumph against a ranked opponent.

Here is a by-the-numbers look at UFC on ESPN 11, with statistics courtesy of UFCStats.com.

14: Takedowns landed by Blaydes in 25 attempts, a record for the UFC’s heavyweight division. That figure is also tied for the third most of any fighter regardless of weight class. Blaydes took his man down five times in Round 1, three times in Round 2, once in Round 3, three times in Round 4 and twice in Round 5.

59: Career takedowns landed by Blaydes, which is tied for ninth-most among all fighters in UFC history. Saturday marked the second time Blaydes landed double-digit takedowns in the Octagon; he landed 10 in a victory over Mark Hunt at UFC 221.

4: Consecutive triumphs for Blaydes, tying him with Francis Ngannou and Augusto Sakai for the longest active winning streak in the UFC’s heavyweight division.

69: Significant strikes landed by Blaydes. By comparison, Volkov landed 31. Blaydes also held a 33-to-0 advantage in significant strikes on the ground.

127: Total strikes landed by Volkov. The Russian outlanded his foe by a 104-to-32 count over the course of the bout’s final 10 minutes.

10: Knockdowns landed by Josh Emmett, tying him with Israel Adesanya for the second-most in the promotion since 2016. Donald Cerrone is first during that time period with 12 knockdowns. That figure also ranks second in UFC featherweight history. Emmett dropped Shane Burgos twice en route to a decision triumph in the co-main event.

256: Combined significant strikes landed by Emmett (127) and Burgos (128). Burgos outlanded his foe 46 to 36 in Round 1 and 48 to 40 in Round 2, while Emmett held a 51-to-34 edge in the final stanza.

40: Significant leg strikes for Burgos. Emmett, meanwhile, landed 13. Emmett said he injured his knee in the opening seconds of the fight.

8: UFC bantamweight victories for Raquel Pennington, the second most in the history of the women’s division behind only reigning champion Amanda Nunes (11). Pennington earned a unanimous decision over Marion Reneau on Saturday night.

107: Significant strikes landed by Pennington, a career high in 13 UFC appearances for “Rocky.” The former title challenger landed 69 percent of her attempts and notably held a 47-to-20 edge in body shots. Reneau landed just 46 significant strikes at a 39 percent success rate.

21: UFC victories for lightweight veteran Jim Miller, third-most in promotion history behind only Donald Cerrone and Demian Maia. Miller submitted Roosevelt Roberts with a first-round armbar in a featured matchup on Saturday night.

10: Submission victories in the Octagon for Miller, tying him with Royce Gracie for third most in UFC history. Only Charles Oliveira (14) and Maia (11) have more.

35: UFC appearances for Miller, tying him with Donald Cerrone for most in promotion history.

36: Significant strikes to the body for Green. By comparison, Guida landed just one.

9: Takedowns defended in 11 attempts by Green. Green’s takedown defense was especially airtight over the final 10 minutes, when he stuffed eight of Guida’s nine attempts.

7: Strawweight victories for Tecia Torres, tying her with four others for second-most in UFC history. Former champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk holds the top spot with 10 triumphs at 115 pounds. Torres outpointed prospect Brianna Van Buren in a preliminary affair.

4: Submission victories for Gillian Robertson, who tapped Cortney Casey with a rear-naked choke in the third round of their flyweight scrap. That is the most submission victories in the UFC women’s history. Her five triumphs at 125 pounds ties her with Valentina Shevchenko and Katlyn Chookagian for most in the history of the division.

0:41: Time of Justin Jaynes’ technical knockout victory over Frank Camacho in a preliminary lightweight bout. That ranks as the second-fastest finish for a lightweight debutante in UFC history, behind only Diego Ferreira’s 38-second submission of Colton Smith at UFC Fight Night 44 in June 2014.
