Brandon Moreno delivered for the fans in Mexico City.

The former Ultimate Fighting Championship flyweight champion outdueled Steve Erceg over 25 minutes at CDMX Arena, winning a unanimous decision in the UFC Mexico headliner on Saturday night. “Assassin Baby” has won back-to-back fights over Erceg and Amir Albazi to remain entrenched near the top of the division just behind reigning champion Alexandre Pantoja. Erceg, meanwhile, has lost three straight.

11: Flyweight wins for Moreno, fourth most in UFC history behind Alexandre Pantoja (13), Demetrious Johnson (13) and Joseph Benavidez (13).

18: Total flyweight fights in UFC competition for Moreno, tying him with Tim Elliott for second most in division history behind Benavidez (19).

5:08:28: Total fight time for Moreno, No. 1 at 125 pounds. Johnson is second at 4:39:12.

9: Consecutive outings for Moreno that have either been main events or slated for five rounds. Moreno is 5-3-1 in those bouts.

116: Significant strikes landed by Erceg. By comparison, Moreno landed 89. Erceg outlanded his foe 25 to 21 in Round 1, 27 to 21 in Round 2, 20 to 10 in Round 3, 25 to 19 in Round 4 and 19 to 18 in Round 5. Moreno was the more accurate striker, landing 50% of his attempts compared to 41% for Erceg.

90: Significant head strikes for Erceg. Moreno, meanwhile, landed 59. The former flyweight champ did hold an 18-to-11 edge in significant body shots.

1: Takedown landed in five attempts for Moreno, who grounded Erceg in the final frame. Erceg did not attempt a takedown.

1-4: UFC record for Drew Dober since 2023. The 36-year-old Nebraskan has been knocked out in three of those defeats, including a first-round stoppage against Manuel Torres in the UFC Mexico co-main event.

.920: Significant striking accuracy for Torres during the abbreviated bout. “El Loco” landed 23 of 25 significant strikes — including one knockdown — en route to securing a finish at the 1:45 mark of Round 1.

11: Takedowns landed by Raul Rosas in his last three outings, wins over Vince Morales, Qileng Aori and Ricky Turcios. Rosas landed four of eight attempts and logged 9:38 of control time in a three-round verdict over Morales on Saturday.

2: Submissions attempted by Morales in Round 3. While both appeared to be tight, Rosas was able to survive and make it to the final horn.

10: KO/TKO triumphs among 12 professional victories for David Martinez, who stopped Saimon Oliveira 4:38 into the opening stanza of their bantamweight bout for a successful UFC debut.

72: Significant head strikes landed by Kevin Borjas — including one knockdown — in a unanimous decision triumph over Ronaldo Rodriguez at flyweight. By comparison, Rodriguez landed 31 significant strikes to the head. Rodriguez’s most distinct advantage was in significant leg strikes (22-5).

6: Consecutive KO/TKO triumphs for Ateba Abega Gautier, who put away Jose Medina with a knee at the 3:32 mark of Round 1 in his UFC debut. Five of those wins have come inside of a round.

159: Total strikes landed by Melquizael Costa in a three-round verdict over Christian Rodriguez at featherweight. That’s a UFC career high in total strikes landed for the Brazilian. By comparison, Rodriguez landed 77. The significant strike figures were much closer, as Costa outlanded his foe by a 65-to-64 count.

116: Combined significant strikes landed by Lupita Godinez (58) and Julia Polastri (58) in the third round of their preliminary contest. That’s the most ever landed by two UFC strawweight fighters in a single round. The previous combined record of 99 was set by Angela Hill (65) and Emily Ducote (34) at UFC on ESPN 42 on Dec. 3, 2022.

33: Career takedowns for Godinez, No. 3 in UFC strawweight history. The Lobo Gym MMA member landed five of 11 attempts and logged 7:30 of control time in her unanimous decision triumph over Polastri. Only Carla Esparza (49) and Claudia Gadelha (36) have landed more takedowns at 115 pounds.

2: Knockdowns landed by Jamall Emmers in his first-round technical knockout victory over Gabriel Miranda at featherweight. Emmers had one knockdown in his first seven UFC appearances combined.
