The Top 10 bantamweights will collide in the UFC Fight Night 185 co-main event this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, where one of them can move one step closer to a shot at the crown. Vieira rebounded from her only career loss—a shocking knockout at the hands of Irene Aldana—with a unanimous decision over Sijara Eubanks at UFC 253 in September. The Nova Uniao representative has compiled a 5-1 record since she joined the UFC roster as an unbeaten prospect in 2016. Kunitskaya, meanwhile, has rattled off three wins across her past four appearances. She last competed at UFC Fight Night 174, where she took a unanimous decision from Julija Stoliarenko on Aug. 8.

As Vieira and Kunitskaya make final preparations for their all-important showdown, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

29: Years of age for Vieira, who was born on Aug. 26, 1991 in Manaus, Brazil.

4: Submission wins on the Vieira resume, accounting for 36% of the judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt’s career total (11). Her methods of choice: two rear-naked chokes, one kimura and one arm-triangle choke. Vieira owns two other victories by knockout and five more by decision.

2: Regional championships on the Vieira mantle. She captured the Mr. Cage Championship bantamweight title in 2014 and laid claim to the Big Way Fight bantamweight crown in 2016.

10: Takedowns completed by Vieira inside the Octagon, tying her with Eubanks, Miesha Tate and Valentina Shevchenko for eighth on the UFC’s all-time list at 135 pounds. Only Sara McMann (23), the aforementioned Nunes (19), Julianna Pena (15), Liz Carmouche (15), Raquel Pennington (14), Cat Zingano (13) and Jessica Andrade (13) have more.

3: First-round finishes for Vieira, and they all took place inside a nine-month window. She submitted Monique Bastos with a rear-naked choke 4:07 into their MCC 16 pairing on March 12, 2015, dispatched Laet Ferreira with a rear-naked choke 2:22 into their BWF clash on Sept. 12, 2015 and put away Jessica Maciel with punches 3:20 into their MCC 20 tilt on Dec. 17, 2015.

31: Years of age for Kunitskaya, who was born on Nov. 11, 1989 in Murmansk, Russia.

7: Kunitskaya victories by knockout or technical knockout, providing her with 54% of her professional total (13). However, she has not authored a finish since she punched out Yanan Wu in 2016.

34: Seconds needed for Kunitskaya to dispose of Cindy Dandois with punches under the M-1 Global banner on Dec. 10, 2010. Having occurred in her fifth professional outing, it remains the quickest stoppage victory of her career.

.744: Cumulative winning percentage between the five women—Maria Hougaard Djursaa, Zaira Dishekova, Tonya Evinger, Cristiane Justino and Aspen Ladd—who have defeated Kunitskaya. They hold a combined record of 64-22.

5: Countries in which Kunitskaya has competed as a mixed martial artist. She has gone 4-3 in the United States, 5-1 in Russia, 2-0 in Poland, 2-0 in Lithuania and 0-1 in Denmark. Advertisement
