Beatdown: "The Smashing Machine" vs. "The Project"

Mark Kerr's mixed martial arts career has been well documented. On Saturday in Denver Kerr makes his return to competition against "The Project" Wes Sims (Pictures).

Both men join TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross on this edition of "Beatdown" to discuss their main event for American Championship Fighting.

Kerr talks about his road back to MMA, steroids, and his personal battles that were chronicled in "The Smashing Machine," an award-winning documentary that focused on his trials and tribulations leading up to the 2000 PRIDE Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Wes Sims (Pictures) discusses Kerr and how he feels about the fight. Also, Sims is asked about his role in a ruling by the Ohio State Athletic Commission that could affect the sport in his home state.

Kerr and Sims even get a chance to talk smack to one another on the phone as they join TJ and Josh at the same time.

Also, Josh analyzes the inaugural IFL show, which took place in Atlantic City this weekend and there's a breakdown of the upcoming PRIDE Open-Weight Grand Prix.
