How to Watch UFC on ESPN 56

It has been more than six years since the last time the Ultimate Fighting Championship staged an event in St. Louis. The world’s premier mixed martial arts organization will return for a power-packed evening of exhilarating action inside the home of the NHL’s Blues with UFC on ESPN 56 this Saturday at the Enterprise Center.

In the main event, Derrick Lewis looks to prove that he is still a tough test to pass on the way up the heavyweight ladder, while Rodrigo Nascimento aims to jump higher in the Top 15 by turning aside the former title challenger. Coming off a lopsided loss against Jailton Almeida and with just a single victory in his last five starts, Lewis returns to action looking to tap into the fantastic form that took him to title contention. Meanwhile, Nascimento banks on the momentum of a three-fight winning streak, including a second career victory over Don’Tale Mayes in his most recent outing.

While “The Black Beast” has struggled of late, it is important to note that his losses have come against fighters at the top of the division—a level of competition Nascimento has yet to encounter. However, if he gets by Lewis, the UFC will most certainly pair the Brazilian against one of the top-ranked competitors in the weight class. The card also features other exciting matchups, including hometown standout Joaquin Buckley’s battle with Nursulton Ruziboev at 170 pounds and Alonzo Menifield’s showdown with Carlos Ulberg at 205 pounds.
