The Ultimate Fighting Championship will call upon its most dependable cash cow to kick off its 2021 pay-per-view schedule, as Conor McGregor rematches Dustin Poirier in the UFC 257 headliner this Saturday at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It serves as the encore to their September 2014 encounter in which McGregor authored a sensational first-round technical knockout on his way to later becoming the UFC’s first simultaneous two-division champion.

As UFC 257 “Poirier vs. McGregor 2” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card have generated to this point:

11: Post-fight bonuses banked by Poirier in his 23 appearances under the UFC banner. He has been awarded “Fight of the Night” seven times, “Performance of the Night” three times and “Submission of the Night” once, resulting in $555,000 of additional income.

13: Knockdowns landed by McGregor inside the Octagon, tying him with Edson Barboza and Thiago Santos for fifth-most among active UFC fighters. Only Donald Cerrone (20), Jeremy Stephens (18), Mauricio Rua (14) and Junior dos Santos (14) have more.

6: Decision losses for Dan Hooker. The City Kickboxing standout owns an unsettling 3-6 record in fights that reached the judges. He faces three-time Bellator MMA lightweight champion Michael Chandler in the three-round co-main event.

5: Lightweight titleholders, including Chandler, in Bellator history. Eddie Alvarez, Will Brooks, Brent Primus and Patricio Freire are the others.

43: Significant strikes by which Jessica Eye was outlanded in her unanimous decision defeat to Cynthia Calvillo at UFC on ESPN 10 in June. It marked the first time in Eye’s career that she had absorbed more than 100 significant strikes, as Calvillo connected with 113 of them in their five-round headliner. The Xtreme Couture representative confronts Joanne Calderwood in a flyweight showcase at UFC 257.

3: Calderwood losses by submission, accounting for 60% of her professional setbacks (five). She submitted to a guillotine choke from Jessica Andrade and tapped to armbars from Maryna Moroz and Jennifer Maia.

4: Submission wins on the Amanda Ribas resume, providing her with 40% of her career total (10). Her methods of choice: two rear-naked chokes, one armbar and one kneebar. The 27-year-old Brazilian prospect draws Marina Rodriguez in a pivotal battle at 115 pounds.

10: Takedowns surrendered by Rodriguez in her five UFC appearances. She conceded five of them in a unanimous decision defeat to former strawweight champion Carla Esparza at UFC on ESPN 14 in July.

13: Consecutive victories for Makhmud Muradov, who enters his main-card clash against “The Ultimate Fighter 23” winner Andrew Sanchez with momentum to burn. The Uzbekistan-born upstart has not tasted defeat in more than four years.

6: Organizations in which Sanchez has competed as a professional mixed martial artist. He has gone 5-3 in the UFC, 4-1 in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, 1-0 in Tommy Tran Promotions, 1-0 in Fight Hard MMA, 1-0 in Cage Championships and 0-1 in Capital City Cage Wars.

24: Years of age for Arman Tsarukyan. The youngest fighter on the card, he was born on Oct. 11, 1996 in Akhalkalaki, Georgia—a city of less than 9,000 people near the nation’s border with Turkey. Tsarukyan takes on Matt Frevola in a catchweight encounter at UFC 257.

40: Years of age for Sara McMann. The oldest fighter on the card, she was born on Sept. 24, 1980 in Takoma Park, Maryland. Diana Ross’ “Upside Down” was the No. 1 song on Billboard’s Hot 100 list at the time. McMann, a silver medalist in freestyle wrestling at the 2004 Summer Olympics, meets Julianna Pena on the undercard.

.771: Cumulative winning percentage between the 22 fighters scheduled to compete at the event. They own a combined record of 337-97-3. Nik Lentz—who tackles the undefeated Movsar Evloev as part of the six-fight slate of UFC 257 prelims—holds the most wins (30) and has been saddled with the most losses (11) of any fighter on the card.
