Lion Fight 35 Weigh-in Results: Jo Nattawut, Kengsiam Nor Sripueng on Point
Lion Fight, North America’s leading muay Thai promotion, returns
with another night of action Friday inside Foxwoods Resort Casino
in Mashantucket, R.I. The event will be televised live on AXS TV
beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, with the fireworks culminating
with “Smokin” Jo Nattawut defending his super welterweight title
against Kengsiam Nor Sripueng.
At Thursday’s weigh-ins, both men came in at or under the 154-pound limit, greenlighting their title tilt. Nor Sripueng was the first to step onto the scale and the Thai veteran came in at 153 pounds. Nattawut, meanwhile, looked as vicious as ever; the champ tipped the scale at 154 pounds on the dot.
The original co-main event between defending lightweight champ Antonina Shevchenko, the older sister of UFC featherweight contender Valentina Shevchenko, and Magali Foroni was scrapped. Foroni failed to get the necessary medicals in time for the weigh-ins and was pulled from the card, according to a Lion Fight official.
